Description
Composition in ochre, gray, black and white tones. All traced drawing giving an idea of texture, drapery and volume. Figure of a woman kneeling, hugging a child standing in front of her, occupying almost the entire area of the composition. The woman is kneeling on her left leg, diagonally from left to right and from front to back, with her torso facing forward, head tilted slightly to the right, wearing a large hat, similar to a sombrero. He has his right hand on the child's head and his left hand holding the child's left arm. He has white, straight hair, short to the shoulder and sharp facial features. He wears black cross-hatched clothing at ankle height, bare feet and a black and gray checkered shirt. The child is emaciated, standing to the left, facing away, with his face covered by a cloth that he holds with both hands, leaving his legs uncovered and his feet are barefoot.
