Description
Composition in dark tones of earthy, black, red and ochre and gray tones. Smooth texture. Portrait of woman half-body profile to the right, against dark background timber wall crafted ( "BOISERIE"), occupying almost the entire area of ​​the composition. The depicted has hair back, stuck in thick braid that goes over the head, broad forehead, straight, well-defined on the right ear, dark and thick eyebrows, eyes with dark irises, long nose, mouth with full lips, slightly parted, prominent chin . In the neck, which is long, are seen two parallel wrinkles. The portrayed wears black clothes with neckline "V" with collar and sleeves that suggest long. Dress neckline leaving sees white collar, standing, like a blouse. Basically, timber wall, handrail species, which crosses the composition from side to side. In the upper on the left corner, behind the head of the portrayed, we see what could be part of a frame of a picture; in the upper on the right corner, in front of the face, there are also frame suggestion that this case would be part of the work itself wood on the wall. Within that frame there are two rose windows, one above the other, which appear to be wood. The face, the light falling from on it, stands out from the background and clothing that somehow overlap.
