Don Quixote and Sancho Panza
Description
Composition in black and white with ochre tones. Graphic character in the well-defined black lines. Quick strokes, short, parallel, intersecting. Tonal effects obtained by grisados. D.Quixote representation and Sancho Panza riding in country lanscape with windmills in the background. In the foreground, on the left of center, D.Quixote on horseback. Horse and rider are slightly turned to the left. D.Quixote wears hat, has thin, long face, round black eyes and mustache caricature, thick and long, in contrast to the face. Wears armor and have on the right arm raised above his head with hand holding sword drawn. On the left hand holds the reins and the horse that appears to be the scabbard. Horse has straight and parallel front legs while the rear suggest movement. Position of the hind legs does not match the position in which they are represented the body and the front legs of the animal. On the floor, parallel curved lines which arise composition of the bottom and open in a range in multiple directions. In the background on the right, shown in Sancho and less than D.Quixote scale. Sancho Panza is riding in front, wearing a hat and it seems to hold the reins with both hands. Rider and horse are poorly defined. In the background, paths, small elevations and two windmills on the right.
