Description
Composition in ochre, earthy, yellow, blue and gray tones. Thick texture with apparent strokes. Half-bust of a cangaceiro facing forward, occupying the entire area of the composition. The figure has a round face, wears leather brimmed hat forming a semicircle in front, and the left side is cut off by right side margin of the support. A light band covers the forehead, his small eyes are slit, looking right, he has a thick nose, straight, thin lips closed and square jaw with hole in the center. Face reveals hard and tense expression. He wears a shirt and scarf around the neck with a bow in the center and ends falling; the shoulders are not fully visible because they are cut by the side edges of the support. Background suggests geometrism with chiaroscuro area. Light falling from the front lighting up the bandit's face.
