Composition in ochre, earthy, yellow and blue tones. Rough texture. It depicts four men gold digging in a river. In the foreground ,on the left, a shovel stucked in a sort of dark mound; on the right, a man standing in profile to the left, bending, using a broad-brimmed hat, a long sleeve shirt and pants rolled up below the knees; he holds a pan horizontally, has legs spread, his left leg ahead of his right leg and foot under the river water. In the background, on the right, facing forward man with his head bowed, wearing a hat and a long sleeve shirt; he holds a pan with his left handthat is leaning on his waist, his right hand cupped suggesting something in his palm. On the third level, repetition of the figures of the fore and backgrounds.
