Description
Composition in earthy, ochre, gray, black and blue tones. Color areas. It depicts several men working in a foundry. In the foreground, to the left of the center, a man is standing facing back, his right arm raised diagonally, legs wide spread, he wears rolled up pants below the knee. In the background, on the right, man is profile to the left, leaning over, his arms also down towards the ground as if he were preparing to pick up an iron bar, rectangular shaped, that lies on the floor, between his legs; and he wears rolled up pants below the knee; on the left, some iron rods on the ground lying horizontally can be seen. On the third level, on the left, a man is standing facing forward, he is carrying in his arms an iron bar horizontally, legs spread and wears pants rolled up below the knee. In the background, a closed environment with two arched openings and the suggestion of a facing forward man. At the right bottom of the composition, there is part of a barrel with a chain on top. At the top right, suggestion of what would be the basis of a blast furnace.
