Title
Cangaceiro
Description
Composition in black and white. Contour lines and shading. Cangaceiro lying with rifle occupying the left half of the composition. The bandit is lying prone, slightly diagonal from left to right, front to back. His torso is lifted, head forward, using leather hat brimmed up forming a semicircle, face with no defined facial features, and bandoliers crossing his chest are suggested. His arms are folded supporting his lifted trunk and he holds in his hands a rifle that is on the ground, horizontally. His legs are stretched toward the bottom of the composition. On the right, a tuft of vegetation commonly found in the scrub, whose representation is repeated four more times, on a smaller scale, in perspective towards the bottom of the composition.
