Description
Composition in gray tones (predominant), blue, black, white, ochre, and red earthy. Thick texture and marked brushstrokes. It depicts in arid lanscape, looking up scarecrow, bones of the head of an ox, women at various positions, lying three oxen and three flying birds. In the foreground to the right of center, wood cutting through almost the entire height of the support; You are stuck with a straw clothes wearing a beam in the horizontal and two diagonal suggesting human form. The white clothing is white with black dots and three flaps suggested by red strokes. The head of the scarecrow is defined by a circle ochre no defined facial features, and a cone-shaped hat. To the left of the scarecrow, on the ground there is the skull of a front steer slightly tipped to the left, seeing only the horn on the right; more to the left two bones suggesting ribs. On the right scarecrow, still on the ground, one sees over a bone suggesting be part of a tibia and an indefinite shape like a cloth thrown on the floor. In the background is seen to the left, five women: a sitting, another carrying a bundle on her head, one with a child in her lap and two tilted down as if they were picking up something on the ground. On the right, three boizinhos lying profile to the left, forming a diagonal on the right to on the left, front to the back, and more to the right isolated woman walking with bundle of clothes on her head. Terrain lanscape plan, arid, seeing is near the horizon, two more figures poorly defined outline. Heaven is in the tone of "degrade" it gets dark at the upper left corner to see three dark birds flying with wings horizontally. The ground floor, although arid, has geometrical areas suggesting areas of light and shadow and speckled pebbles.
