Composition in earth, ochre, green, gray, red and black tones. Tough texture resulting of the support frame and apparent brushstrokes. Portrait of the bust of a woman knitting occupying the entire area of the support, against green and gray background. The depicted faces forward, has her head bowed, long face, dark hair divided in half, facial features only suggested , broad forehead, eyes focused down, long nose defined only by a play of shadows and soft lips painted red. She wears a sleeveless shirts edged in red earthy tones, with an open collar. The arms are bent at chest height with hands together holding knitting needle and piece in red of what is being knitted. To the right, elbow is cut by the on the left lateral edge of the support, as well as the left forearm is the bottom margin. In the background, on the left and center, an area in green tone with small gray stripe at the top edge; on the right, an area in earth tone with brushstrokes in gray.
