Composition representing arid, flat landscape with hill in the background and clear sky in "degradé" darkening at the top. In the foreground we see from the left to the right: small hill, skull of an ox, the skeleton and bones of a quadruped animal. In the background, on the left, three trunks of trees with vertical branches and no leaves. On the right, shrubs have green tops of conical shape with points suggesting fruit. Looking ahead to the bottom, several vultures are sitting in these bushes. The floor is a dark earth tone in the foreground and becomes lighter to the bottom until you reach the clear horizon zone.
