Description
in low relief composition in white plaster. Half-bust Dante and Beatrice occupying the entire area of the support. The are portrayed in profile to the left, side by side; Dante is in front and slightly to the right of the composition, has the long face, a kind of cloth involving the head and covering the ear, almond-shaped eyes turned to the left, sharp nose, and thin lips closed and undershot jaw. Sees the start of the high-necked clothes covering half of the neck. Behind the head Dante and slightly to the right part of the face of Beatrice, slightly inclined downwards; wear a rag on his head that covers her hair, broad forehead, eyes turned down, straight nose, thin lips and small chin. Sees suggestion of early clothing.
