Description
Composition in black and white. Contour lines, shaded and scraped. It depicts three figures working in the maize harvest. In the foreground, on the left, man standing in profile to the left, walking, carrying a large basket on her head full of ears of corn; more to the right, a basket on the ground, and a man crouched in front with straw hat on head holding hands ears of a hill that is in front of him, as if filling the basket that is on their side; on the right, full of corn cobs, which continues to the bottom of the composition. In the background, on the left, suggesting lower planting, perhaps of wheat, seeing four swallows on low flying over it; the middle man standing from the front, with straw hat, legs apart, holding a spike in the hands. In the background, continuing the plantations are seeing also part of a large tree.
