Title
Circus
Description
Composition in ochre, earthy, blue, green, gray, white and red. Smooth texture in the background, thick with marked strokes and use of spatula. Armed circus in open field, clown and children looking up in the background to the city of Brodowski. In the foreground, on the left, armed circus with presenter at the entrance, to the left of a blackboard. The figure is poorly defined, has raised arms and legs apart, wears a hat, blue jacket and red knee-high pants and is barefoot. On the right, donkey walking in profile to the left with a clown mounted on its back, facing a group of children who go into the circus. The donkey is gray with brown spots and the clown wears blue pointed hat, long-sleeved clothes, knee-heigh pants and striped socks. The band of children form a group where heads, arms and legs are confused with the clothes in gray tones. In the background, continuation of a clearing with, in the center of the composition, the other group of children, also walking towards the circus. The human figures have represented facial features and in the groups, children are mingled and some seem to have raised arms. In the third level, a kind of wall divides the field of a Brodowski landscape, and we see to the right and on the left group of cypresses, and in the center, trees, houses and six palm trees lined horizontally. In the background, blue sky with white clouds.
