Description
Composition in tones earthy, blue, ochre, gray, red, white, yellow and rose. Smooth texture. Contoured lines painting by the graphite and shaded giving passe-partout effect. Escape from It depicts to Egypt with Our Lady seated with the Child Jesus in her arms, in donkey being pulled by St. Joseph, occupying almost the entire area of the composition. From the left to the right: St. Joseph standing, facing, wearing red robe, has represented facial features, beard and around the head, a yellow halo; in the center of the composition, Our Lady sitting sideways with baby Jesus in her arms on gray donkey who is walking in profile to the left. She wears robe and blue cloak covering his head and the boy in her lap has curly short hair; both have represented facial features and halo above the heads. Ground with vegetation and high hill on the left tufts. In the background, clear blue sky to the horizon.
