Description
Composition in tones rose, ochre, blue, earthy, white and gray. Smooth texture. Portrait of woman against the backdrop bust horse, construction on elevation and cloudy sky. The pictured faces with 3/4 head turned to the left. It has thin, long face, dark hair parted on the right, combed to the side and short, covering the ears; broad forehead, arched eyebrows, brown eyes with drooping eyelids, straight nose, thin lips, pointed chin and long neck. Wears blouse with square neckline and draped across the semicircular body. Basically, arid lanscape, finding himself on the left a prancing white horse in profile to the left, head forward and flowing mane and on the right next to the horizon, with elevation atop a building. Grayish blue cloudy sky.
General Info
This work was kept for many years by the sitter’s friend Lota de Macedo Soares. After Lota’s death, Oscar Simon found the work in ruinous condition and delivered it to the sitter’s son, Octavio Eduardo Guinle
