Composition of living in blue tones, orange, yellow and white and ochre, earthy, lilac and red. Smooth and rough texture. Boy with sheep in his arms and horse beside against bleak background. The boy is a little on the right of center, standing, facing, on the right knee slightly bent and facing out. He has a round face, short hair, round eyes, upturned nose and full lips. Yellow vest long sleeve shirt and pants orange. Safe in his arms a blue sheep, profile on the left: his on the right arm passed under the front legs and the on the left over the animal's back. Red shadow cast on the right of the boy's feet and orange and ochre stain on the floor, forming a triangle within which the child is placed. In the background, on the left, horse represented in white and blue, standing, facing slightly turned to the right, with a small shadow cast on the right. The boy and the two animals are represented by little apparent brushstrokes. Treeless lanscape: flat earthy in shades of sand, with small elevations to the bottom and plain blue sky.
