Description

Composition in dark shades of earthy, ochre, green, gray, white, blue, red and rose. Representation of men and women amid the arid lanscape of open countryside, with the skyline background and sunset. In the foreground, on the right, a group composed of ten men and three women in different positions. All are standing, have skin and hair represented in earthy tones, wear white clothes and have defined facial features. One man wears figures hat and profile to the left, leaning forward, hands touching the ground, like stacking bricks scattered on the ground. Two other men carry on a kind of stretcher, which seem to be bricks. Two other 3/4 facing left, walking one in front, holding stretcher. Around them, women with high cans on their heads and men. Near the group, center, front man of figure, slightly off to the right, with dark hat on his head, white suit, boots, hands back, seeing himself on the left what looks like a whip. To the left of the composition, back man, almost in profile to the left, with type of shovel or scythe in hand, near the stacked stones, two bags of cement and suggestion of stacked bricks. In the background, on the left, with leafy tree canopy and four figures woman. In the third level, three trees diagonally from the left to the right and from front to back. Ox suggestion next to the first tree, fence next to the second and figure near the fence. In the background, the open, the horizon and sunset represented by rose shades, red and earthy "degrade".
