Description
Composition in blue tones, gray, rose, ochre, red, black, yellow and white. Rough and smooth texture, marked brushstrokes, spatula use, "sgraffito". Composition representing mulatto with chest on the head against background in blue tones, white and gray with touches of green. The mulatto faces, half-length, with nearly profile face to the left and small chest on his head. The chest is rose and red ochre with scratches in blue and red ochre. Between the chest and the head, floppy suggestion woven straw. The mulatto's hair is black and long, fluttering on the right on his back. Note the wear of the technique of "sgraffito" in the treatment of hair. The eyebrows are thick, thick, oversized and bulging eye, coarse nose, red-lipped, sharp cheekbone in red. It wears red earring drop-shaped dress and had taken that fall into ochre-red. It has the face and the on the right arm in shades of gray, rose, white and yellow.
