Description
Composition in light shades of ochre, gray, rose, blue, green and white and earthy tones. Smooth texture. Figures represented with significant and deliberated deformed expressions.. It depicts Jesus consoling the women of Jerusalem. In the foreground, on the left, Jesus walking in profile to right with the cross over his left shoulder. He has his head bowed and face up, looking forward. In the center, kneeling female figure has the hands on her face. In the background, in the center, front soldier figure with the right arm across the body in the act of whipping with a whip of long strips, using short kilt. On the right, another woman in the same position as the foreground. Ground in earthyy tones and light toned background with some geometric shapes near the floor limit, strong contrast of light and dark shades can be noticed, which accentuate the drama of the scene. .
