Title
Square
Description
Composition in green tones, black, earthy, gray, ochre, red and white. Rough texture resulting from sand that is mixed in the pigment. Composition representing lanscape of a square as if being observed a large balcony or patio, located on a higher plane as if it were a first floor. Strong contrasts of light and shadow on the buildings and brick blocks that are around the square create surreal atmosphere. The first and second planes, balcony or patio corner with floor consists of large squares in black and dark green, surrounded by low walled masonry. On the right corner, looking up, narrow street and sidewalk of a building to go door on the ground floor and the first floor, balcony with iron bars grid vertically forming bellies. On counter perceives a couple. The two are facing, and the girl is more to the left that the boy is a little further back. They wear light clothing and that the girl is with a long dress ruffles. On the third level, we see the square itself defined by contrasting light area. To the left and to the bottom, alignment of several buildings, whose dark shadows are projected to on the right. In the square are seen three rectangular masses lined with red bricks, a large red and white ball-five people: two boys jumping carrion and what is in the air wears harlequin clothing; on a smaller scale, a girl hopscotch and more to the bottom two figures, to a lesser extent also isolated.
