Saint Peter and the Rooster
Description
Composition in tones earthy, blue, gray, white, ochre, red and black. Smooth and thick texture. Bust of St. Peter, from the front, holding a rooster, occupying the entire stand area. The saint is with the head tilted back and tumbled slightly to the left, with defined facial features and part of the on the left side is concealed by his hand is flattened with the arm folded up. Face sees the on the left eye, almond, broad nose, thick lips and closed, dark beard. Hands are large well-marked and are represented by significant deformation deliberate with fingers ending abruptly. The on the left arm although not visible is folded and held in the hand a white cock. The animal is in profile to the right and has the head turned back profile to the left. Its feathers are depicted looking up bulky tail, its beak is curved downward, eye represented by red diamond and well defined crest also in red. His on the right foot is up and the on the left down.
