Description
Composition in tones earthy, ochre, black, green, rose, blue, white and gray. Smooth texture and rough resulting from holder. Saint Anthony with Baby Jesus in her lap occupying almost the entire area of the composition, against green background. The Holy is standing, facing slightly back to the left. It has oval face 3/4 back, too, to the left, cut hair at an altar boy, narrow forehead, large eyes turned to the left, aquiline nose and lips closed. wears dark cassock, the Jesuit, with rope tied at the waist with tips falling on the right. It has legs slightly apart and wears sandals with straps between the toes. Supports the on the right arm Child Jesus seated, almost 3/4 facing right. He has a round face, curly blond hair, blue eyes facing forward, delicate nose and lips closed. wears wears rose with blue trimming around the neck. Has bent arms, on the right hand on his chest and higher on the left. The on the right hand grasps the Holy child and the on the left is at chest height, seeing many long-four fingers slightly apart.

Work executed to decorate the right third of the right side wall of the Nonna chapel in Brodowski, SP. The house where the artists parents lived, along with the work, was expropriated by the São Paulo state government in 1969 and transformed into a museum in 1970.
