Chorus of Mulatto Women
Description
Composition in black, white and red tones. Few contour lines, shaded predominance of setting volumes, red tone, used only for a few touches and the word congress. Group representation of eleven sitting mulatto, with sign above their heads, musical score to the left and white background. Young mulatto, almost girls, seated, turned to the left, forming two on the right diagonal figures to the left towards the bottom of the composition. They are in different positions: some are 3/4 directed to the left, others almost back, others almost from the front and the other in profile to the left. Have common features: curly hair in her ears, parted in the middle, poorly defined facial features, faces with shaded effects, two parallel lines on the neck, low-cut dress suggestion, sleeveless volume of breasts and arms indicated by shaded. A mulatto wears red bow on hair and red cummerbund, other wears red waist band and a third wears red bow in her hair. On the left, musical staff. Above the heads of the group, the inscription in letters drawn in ink, some just the outline, others fulfilled: "MUNICIPAL THEATER" leaked letters, contour in black ink, the type 0.8 cm high; "CONGRESS", compact letters, red ink, the type 2.5 cm high; "ON", castings, B, height 0.5 cm; "NATIONAL LANGUAGE", cast in black, 0.8 cm high; "CRUSH", compact, black, height 0.8 cm. Delimited composition by thin red line, which has frame effect around the composition. White background.
