Description
Composition in black and brown (yellowish support) contour lines and sharp shadows. Composition representing black girl expressively deformed proportions; between clumps on a beach looking to the sea and islands. Figure occupies the central area of the composition is up and from the front. It has a significantly large, round head, short and curly hair, broad forehead, slanted eyes, wide nose, parted lips, small chin, short and wide neck, with the on the left face in shadow area. It has disproportionate body, very broad, squat, arms along the body and barefoot rounded. Wears kind of long gown, long sleeves with draping indicated on your on the right side of the neck to the hem and on the left side just at the bottom of the skirt. The girl seems to be treading the sand of a beach. On the left, one sees two clumps and small hill on the waterline and the largest clump on the right. In the background, the sea, several islands, and on the left two hills suggest the Sugarloaf and Urca. In the sky, two plump clouds horizontally, represented the girl's head height.
