Description
Composition in black, gray and white. Contour lines, parallel lines, shadows, dashed and scraped. Composition representing kneeling man with dead child in her arms and woman sitting in the background. In the foreground and on the left tuft of vegetation suggesting ears of corn. In the background and center, kneeling man, facing, as indicated face, wearing striped clothes and carrying the dead boy lap, which is horizontal and the head on the left. The bottom and to the left, women, suggesting that the Indian face painting, sitting on the floor and also wearing striped clothes. She's head tilted to the left as if looking toward the dead boy. On the right, a vulture earthyed on the ground, regular dashed suggests construction thatched, on the left and on the right.
