Title
Brazilian Flora and Fauna
Description
Composition in gray, green, white, blue, yellow, red, orange, earthy, ochre, violet, lilac and black tones. Smooth, slightly rough texture due to wrinkling of very dry ink. Composition representing tropical landscape with macaw, cacti, monkey, banana, eggs in a basket and having the sea and islands. In the foreground on the left, part of the foliage of areca and of a tree trunk on which we see ca olorful macaw, side of an inn on the right. On the right, part of a banana tree with large leaves and bunch of bananas with flower at the tip. On one of the leaves, we see a monkey, sitting in profile to the right, as if eating a bunch of bananas ahead. On the other, we see a bird's nest with three eggs. Still in the foreground, simple flowers and foliage spread around the elements already described. In the background, land that extends to the sea line suggesting the sands of a beach; looking to the left, a coconut tree; and, on the right, cacti. The beach is suggested by light tones which are scattered clumps and small spots. In the background, sea line with waves, island (or the bottom of a bay) and sky in gray tones.
