Composition in black tones, white and yellow (support). Contour lines, shaded and deleted. Portrait man half-bust, occupying almost the entire area of the support against a plain background. The pictured is slightly turned to the left, has dark hair combed back, with volumes suggested by deleted and represented Swiss. It has a broad forehead, with small side entrances, thick eyebrows and small eyes, seen through the lens of the oval-shaped glasses. The nose is well-designed, well-designed thin lips, rounded and protruding chin marked by dimple in the center. The whole face is marked by suggesting erased volumes and lights. The pictured wears high white collar shirt, big bowtie, seeing also part of the jacket collar. Plain background.

Signature is not authentic, but work had an inscription or dedication with the name Josetti in bottom left corner [PR 96], which was later erased. This probably referred to Rodolpho Josetti, a music scholar and friend of the artist who probably received the work as a gift.
