Description
Composition in the earthy tones, ochre, white, red and green. Smooth texture and marked brushstrokes. Composition representing scarecrow amid the arid lanscape, with skulls of animals on the ground between strings, stakes in perspective for background and sky with the moon and the Tres Marias. The scarecrow is on the right of center composition, plump mounted on the vertical post; is represented by light fabric red polka dots, has spiky hair and legs defined by draping flowing. Ahead of the scarecrow the ground is darker, looking to the left, bones of the head of an ox and more to the center, three red circles amid a tangle of strings and some boulders. Scarecrow behind the ground is clearer, with some greenish spots. On the right, one sees another animal carcass head and two rows of pegs in perspective towards the bottom, one on each side of the bogey. The sky is represented in shades earthy, almost white on the horizon and darkening toward the top edge. On the left, full moon rising and above, the Tres Marias.
