The figure stands in profile to the left, it is with the body bent down, as if something gather soil. Has suggested hair and facial features. The body and arms are slim, the legs are apart and the on the left slightly bent. On the ground, with the spade blade to the right. To the right of the figure, part of a vine tree. Undergrowth, indicated by small shrubs that decrease in perspective for background. On the right suggestion of a tree. Basically, horizontal band, suggesting sky.
