The man is holding the flag pole with the on the left hand, the far on the right of the body, lightly stretched to the left and legs apart. Petticoat dresses, puffy-sleeved shirt, bandoleer crossed his chest and pants boots. In the background, on the left of center, troop of men lined up, curved to the bottom of the composition; the on the right side of the line, tree trunk.
