Sponsored by Brasil Telecom, the Portinari Project held the exhibition 'Mostra Brasil Telecom - Portinari, Painter of Peace' at Itamaraty Palace in Brasilia from November to December 2003. The exhibition featured digital replicas of the studies, sketches and models that the painter made for the two large panels. By highlighting the artist's creative trajectory over the nine months it took to produce these works, the exhibition provided an in-depth contextualization between Portinari's creation, his thinking and his fight for peace.
