As part of Portinari’s Centenary celebrations, SESC-RJ held an exhibition featuring original prints and digital replicas, as well as excerpts from interviews conducted by the Portinari Project during the 1980s. These interviews included statements from prominent figures such as Luís Carlos Prestes, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Maria Clara Machado as well as other intellectuals and friends of Portinari. In these accounts, they discussed not only their experiences alongside the painter but also Brazilian politics and society at the time.
