Another significant result of the 'Brazil by Portinari' program was the 'Portinari: Art and Science' project, financed by IBM Brazil, which toured the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Campinas, and São Paulo. Its main purpose was to highlight the connection between scientific knowledge and art, presenting different works by the artist that illustrate a phenomenon explained by science. Physics, computer science, mathematics, biology, and chemistry were used to enrich this unique experience.
