From June 14 to August 7, 2023, the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in Belo Horizonte hosted the exhibition 'Portinari Raros', curated by Marcello Dantas and supported by the Portinari Project, featuring around 200 original works. A veritable dive into the artist's universe, in addition to large-scale projections, the exhibition featured a number of axes that highlighted the rarest aspects of Portinari's production, such as his passion for fauna and flora, images from his childhood, his flirtation with abstraction and his fascination, towards the end of his life, with the symbolic image of a Carajá indigenous woman.
Visitors had an immersive experience with the artist's paintings, accompanied by an original soundtrack.
