Projeto Portinari

The Order of Military Merit is a decoration created to reward military personnel, civilians, and institutions, either national or foreign, who have rendered relevant services to the Brazilian nation, especially to the land armed forces.  In 2010, Professor João Candido Portinari was awarded for his work leading the Portinari Project.
