Clarissa Diniz (1985) was born in Recife. She is an art critic and curator. Graduated in Lic. Ed. Arts/Plastic Arts from the Federal University of Pernambuco, UFPE, master's degree from the Graduate Program in Arts at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and doctoral student at the Graduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology at UFRJ. Between 2006 and 2015, she was the editor of Tatuí, an art criticism magazine. He has published several books and carried out numerous curatorships, among which stand out “Contrapensamento Selvagem” (cocuratorship with Cayo Honorato, Orlando Maneschy and Paulo Herkenhoff. Instituto Itaú Cultural, SP), “Torrid Zone – certain painting of the Northeast” (cocuratorship with Paulo Herkenhoff. Santander Cultural, Recife), “Ambiguações” (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, 2013), “Pernambuco Experimental” (Museu de Arte do Rio – MAR, Rio de Janeiro, 2013), “From Valongo to Favela : imaginary and periphery” (co-curator with Rafael Cardoso, Museu de Arte do Rio – MAR, 2014), “Everybody is, except those who aren’t” – 13th Bienal Naifs do Brasil (SESC Piracicaba, 2016 and Sesc Belenzinho, 2017) and “Dja Guata Porã – Indigenous Rio de Janeiro” (cocurator with Sandra Benites, Pablo Lafuente and José Ribamar Bessa. MAR, 2017). She was assistant curator of the Rumos Artes Visuais 2008/2009 Program (Instituto Itaú Cultural, São Paulo) and, between 2008 and 2010, she was a member of the Critics Group of the Centro Cultural São Paulo, CCSP.
