Lord Jesus of the Cane
Description
Composition in black and white. Lines defining contours and shading setting volume. Study for altarpiece with vertically divided support in three equal rectangles. In the central rectangle, more elaborate design of the figure of Jesus, facing with the head turned slightly to the left. Robe coat and is folded on the right arm holding long palm leaf which is on the left, vertical, curved tip. On the left rectangle, sketch of a group of people standing in profile to the right, looking at Jesus. On the right rectangle, another group people, and only the first figure is well defined, 3/4 turned to the left, with folded hands, wearing long robes.
