Description
Composition in earthy tones, sepia, ochre, red, black and white. Contour lines and shading. Study representing the descent of Jesus from the cross. In the foreground, center, dead Jesus being born in a shroud, his head to the left and the legs to the right. The shroud being carried by two figures are on the left and on the right of the composition. Behind Jesus, leaning over his head, another figure, which only sees the head and trunk. In the background, the center, a ladder, and on it a back woman as if she were crying. It also sees the start of the cross rests the ladder. At the back, cutting the upper half of the composition, diagonal, horizontal line perpendicular to the vertical.
