The scene starts in the background, with only part of a wooden stump, on the left of center foreground. In the background on the left, black man, standing at the entrance to a shack, 3/4 facing right, with his on the left arm stretched horizontally and hand on the door. Following alignment of the shed, diagonally on the left to the right and from front to back, suggesting surrounded boards yard with papaya and banana; a little more to the right, a profile dog to the right and a black woman from the front, holding the on the left hand a child also in front of him. On the right, two women back with cans of water on the head and a child also back up the hill. On the third level, from the left to the right, hill boundary; clothesline with clothes hanging; two women, a back and a front; some shacks. In the background, on the left, view over a bay and on the right, hill boundary with several scattered huts.
