In the foreground, across almost the entire width of the support and slightly to the right of the diagonal to the left, from front to back, counter with open French window and low grade of twelve vertical bars, straight and dark. Through the bars, in the background, we see the inside of an enclosure; on the left, a man standing facing the front, slightly off to the right, face with poorly defined facial features, using light suit and dark shoes; right arm along the body and left stretched to the side with his hand resting on the shoulder of a woman who is sitting on the left on a high-backed chair. The woman is slightly turned to the left, has dark hair, no defined facial features; she wears a light long sleeveless dress and her arms rest on her lap. The background of the scenary is geometrized with regular areas of chiaroscuro blending with the geometrism also present in suit and couple's dress.
