Description
Composition in ochre, gray, blue, earthy, white and black. Smooth and thick texture with marked brushstrokes. It depicts two black washerwomen carrying bundles of clothes on her head, arid lanscape with hill. To the left of center, valet 3/4 turned to the left and back, wearing blue dress sleeves to the elbow, windswept. It has legs apart and the on the left hand arm is folded with the bundle of clothes who is carrying the head. To the right of center, a little deeper, another laundress front, wearing white short-sleeved dress. Face no suggested facial features, legs apart, on the left arm folded across his chest and on the right up holding the bundle of clothes bearing the head. The floor where women step is in ochre and suggesting earthy is flat, becoming, in essence, on the hill which you see only a part. In the upper on the right corner of the support, we see a piece of heaven. The whole composition is mist suggesting some fog in the atmosphere.
