Woman Singing
Description
Composition in sepia tones, black, red ochre, orange and white. Contour lines and shading. Woman's head almost in profile to the right occupying almost the entire support area against white background. The figure has long face, hair tied in a bun at the nape and fringe rolled up leaving the show broad, smooth forehead; eyes just outlined, long and delicate nose, painted lips, parted suggesting that the figure is singing and small chin rounded. See the neck and the start of the lap and neck suggestion "V" of the clothes she wears.

The model for this work was Olga Portinari Leão, sister of the artist.
