Composition in black and white. Lines defining contours, dashed for transport, on the back, visible by transparency. Composition representing mining It depicts with eight men around the river with it would be a margin perspective to the bottom. In the foreground to the left, scrawl; the center, Profile prospector to the left, wearing a hat and holding hands panning. It is with the body leaning forward, suggests sitting bare-chested and wearing pants below the knees. Leg earlier on the left than the on the right. A little to the bottom on the left, another miner from the front, with hat, holding panning on the left hand and the on the right hand cupped open. A little further back, another miner, seeing only what he's facing and hat. More to the right, which is sourdough repeat profile, and further back, three forward and one profile. River margins defined by sinuous lines, suggesting relatively high bounds. In the background, outline of soft hills.
