The figure is from the front, with the head turned slightly to the left. It has oval face, hair represented by angular lines and eyebrows by oblique strokes. Two creases between the eyebrows accentuate the look of sadness figure. Eyes wide open and that the on the left drops a tear. Straight and long nose, lips parted, marked and long neck chin. General Info
Nina Cabral was one of Guignards students in Belo Horizonte in 1945 when she visited the Pampulha Church, where Portinari was working on some murals. She helped him mix the paints and, upon leaving, requested an autograph of the artist, who made the drawing on the spot.
