The Sacrifice of Abraham
Description
Composition in gray tones (predominant), black, white and ochre (dirty pigment). Smooth and thick texture. Composition representing Abraham sacrificing his son. The figures are outlined by black lines and defined by deliberate significant deformation. Geometrized areas make up the background there is superposition of light and dark on the figures. To the left of center, Abraham, profile on the left knees, hugging his son who is in front. Has the on the right arm raised in whose hand grasps a machete and on the left resting on the right shoulder of his son. Has defined facial features expressing horror, looking up with wide eyes, big nose, lips parted and beard. Your son is like that kneeling before him, in profile to the right. He has the head of front and inclined to the left, his chin leaning on his father's chest. It has delicate facial features revealing serene expression looking up closed eyes, nose folded defining the whole profile and closed lips, fallen. Has the on the left arm over the back of his father and the on the right over the on the left shoulder. Figures merge the waist down viewing area is filled with black dots suggesting clothes. In the background, on the left, suggesting sheep dead, horizontally upside down. A little further back and center, bicycle representation. Behind the figure of Abraham fire suggestion. Fund represented by geometrical areas in shades of gray and black, some filled with dots and short strokes and other overlapping figures to creating chiaroscuro effects.
