Icarus and Prometheus
Description
Composition in tones earthy, ochre, green, gray, white, rose, red and black. Smooth texture with marked brushstrokes. Prometheus is chained to a rock in the Caucasus mountain, about to undergo the daily ordeal of having liver eaten by a bird being released by Hercules. On the left, Hercules standing back to back, 3/4 facing right, curved, dropping the chain holding the on the right arm of Prometheus who is chained to the front, to the right of the composition. The figure is stretched out on a rock with head turned to the left, looking Hercules drop the chain of his on the right arm. On the left arm has loose, resting on its belly and feet shackled. It has the naked torso and on the legs, a white cloth where you see part of the bloody liver. The figures are represented by marked strokes and areas of awkward shadows. Facial features just mentioned. In the top on the right, Big Bird flying. Basically, with bluish sky and gray areas and ochre tones near the horizon.
