Description
Composition in dark tones of earthy, gray and yellow, orange and white. Smooth texture. Three fish and a lemon represented in perspective area on a stained sheet of paper and marks of folds. The fish seem to be herrings they have elongated bodies of dark hue, flattened tails ending in tips and the bottoms of the open mouths until the later parts of the eyes and heads terminated on a "muzzle". They are arranged at on the right backs and cut light in diagonal composition, heads converging towards the lower edge of the support. On the right, the lower half is seen through a lemon and whole width of the composition, along the lower edge, dark surface where the paper is stretched.
