Description
Composition in sepia and white. Contour lines, using dry brush and shading. Composition representing a figure of a pregnant woman, standing holding a child, with deliberate significant deformation, occupying almost the entire area of the composition. The figure forward facing, has her hair parted in the middle and tied back, schematic facial features with suffering expression. She has the right arm along the body and her left carries a skinny child in her lap. She wears sleeveless dress, checkerboard patterned by bust high, fitted to her body, accentuating the massive belly. Legs are spread and bare feet. Smooth and background shadow areas on the right, on the ground.
