Description
Composition in blue tones, ochre, earthy, green, yellow, orange, gray and white. Smooth, slightly thicker on the vessel and marked brushstrokes. Composition representing seascape with four rafts blue sea, against green sky. In the center of the stand area, raft diagonally in perspective for background with enfumada spinnaker. On the board, composed of interlocking logs, are seen four men in different positions and a rectangular seat. The fishermen are close to each other and are in shadow area designed for sailing. The on the left is in profile to the right, wearing a hat and trousers, has the on the right arm stretched forward and is with legs apart. Behind him, another jangadeiro which one sees only his arms raised above his head. On the right profile man to the left, wearing a hat and light pants, with sloping trunk and arms down as if picking up something on board the vessel; further background, another darker jangadeiro, facing, on the right arms stretched horizontally, using shirt in rose colors and light pants. At sea, on the left, deeper, three rafts suggested. The sea is represented in shades of blue, green and ochre and that on the right there is the suggestion of geometrical areas. Heaven represented by band in pale green.
