The girl is in the foreground, center, facing back and kneeling, has curly hair and wears a long cape. In front, on a much larger scale, the king sitting on the throne, facing forward, wears a crown, colorful clothes with collar and patterned coat. Behind the throne, we see the horizon with hills and the sky, with a circular area in yellow suggesting the sun. Uncoiled wires coming out of the king's lap suggest serpentine, as well as the rolls on the floor, next to the girl.
